KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• provide instrumental teaching in areas of expertise with reasonable skill, care and diligence
• carry out the teaching duties as required by the Head of Music
• comply with the timetable at the School
• provide teaching of aural skills to students
• provide a set syllabus and instruct accordingly (copy of syllabus to be lodged with the Head of Music)
• assess the music development of students, compile and maintain records of development and provide reports to parents.
• prepare students for external examinations (A.M.E.B.) if appropriate, to the students
• promote the general welfare of students participating in the music programme
• prepare for music recitals and concerts, in association with other instrumental staff and the Head of Music.
• conduct ensembles as requested
• monitor student attendance and progress
• liaise with parents by telephone if problems arise


QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have appropriate tertiary qualifications and VIT registration

SALARY, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Salary will be determined according to qualifications, years of experience. And the number of students taught
