VCE Drama Ensemble Presentation

VCE, Visual Performing Arts

On Thursday 11 May, the VCE Drama class presented their Unit 3 Ensemble performance to an appreciative audience. This was a showcase of the students’ study of playmaking techniques for the devising of a performance centred on the theme ‘tragedy as a vehicle for change’. The audience were impressed by the high calibre of the presentation and also the material which the students had composed.

The play, which was called Camping Chaos was produced, directed and performed by the students, with the help of our inspiring, enthusiastic Drama teacher, Eli Erez. Camping Chaos was inspired by the play Away by Michael Gow, which is set in Australia in 1967/8 and examines a time when many Australians had particularly conservative views about immigrants. Act Two featured Eden A performing her VCE Unit 1 Devised Performance, Mortality.

Kol ha'kavod to the following students: Eden A, Gideon A, Bianca C, Dion F, Lucy K, Rikki M and Bronson S.
