The Bialik College school uniform consists of high quality Australian made clothing. Careful selection of fabrics and styles has given Bialik’s new uniform more versatility for wear at any time of the year.

Because the key components of Bialik’s school uniform include comfort, quality and durability, with the fabrics being trans-seasonal – ie. ‘cool in summer and warm in winter’ - and machine washable, Bialik no longer has a separate summer or winter uniform as well as a sport uniform.

Bialik’s new ‘multiform’ has been designed so that all the pieces can be worn in a variety of combinations. Any Bialik multi-form item may be worn at any time of the year regardless of the climate.

Multi-form rules:
1. Sport clothing items may not be worn with items from the multi-form collection.
2. The multi-form collection will be compulsory for all students as of the commencement of the 2009 school year at which time items from the ‘old’ uniform may no longer be worn.

Dress code for Kinder children:
• Kindergarten children should be dressed in comfortable play clothes each day.

Dress code for Prep children:
• Prep children should wear Bialik’s sport uniform to school each day.

Dress code for Year 1-6 students:
• Children should attend school in the multi-form uniform other than on days when they are timetabled for sport when they should wear their Bialik sports uniform.

Dress code for Year 7-11 students:
• Students should attend school in the multi-form uniform other than on days when they have a designated three-period block of Sport, Physical Education or Health & Fitness related classes when they should wear their Bialik sports uniform.

Dress code rules for ALL students:
1. Students may not wear t-shirts beneath their school or sports uniforms that can be seen through, over or under the uniform.
2. Students are to wear black regulation leather school shoes with the multi-form uniform and black or white non-marking soled shoes with the sports uniform.
3. Students may not wear a mixture of the multi-form uniform with the sports uniform.
4. During Terms 1 and 4, all students must wear a broad-brimmed or a legionnaire hat, not peak caps, for all outdoor Sport, Physical Education or Health & Fitness classes as well as for all outdoor recess, lunchtime or assembly times.
5. Students may only wear small studs or sleepers in pierced ears. No other visible piercings are permitted. The only other acceptable jewellery is watches and simple Chai, Hamsa or Magen David pendants. Rings and bracelets are not permitted.
6. The finished length of girls’ skirts and dresses should be modest.
7. Boys must be clean shaven.
8. Hair longer than shoulder length, for boys and girls, must be securely tied back.
9. No ‘non-natural’ hair colour (eg. purple, pink, yellow, green, etc) is permitted.
10. All uniform items should be clearly and indelibly marked in a prominent position (eg. at the neckline) with the student’s full name.

Girls (Year 1-11) multi-form items:

Please note that ‘old’ (royal blue) sport uniform items are no longer acceptable for wear from the beginning of the 2008 school year.
