Writing a Sefer Torah27 November 2006
Bialik parents Morris and Orleigh Ritz have donated a sefer Torah to the St Kilda Shul in memory of the legacy of the Ritz and Shnaier families. Eitan will have the honour of reading from this scroll at his upcoming bar mitzvah. Our Year 7 students, and our Year 3 Hebrew Immersion Class, were invited to view the scroll and to see Rabbi Eli Gutnick, a sofer (scribe), complete some of the final letters.
