Rabbi Trugman visits Bialik22 June 2009
It’s not very often that the haunting sound of the Dulcimer is heard echoing in the halls of Bialik.
Over the course of two days, our Year 8 and year 9 students were spellbound as Rabbi Trugman discussed topics such as the secrets of the Star of David and Jewish meditation and ended his sessions with a relaxation session during which time he played the Dulcimer.

Seeking host families for our Year 10 Israeli visitors from the Arava18 June 2009
Bialik College is once again fortunate to play host to a group of Year 10 Israeli students from the Arava region, as we have done over the last decade or so. The students and their teacher will arrive from Israel on Sunday 16 August and remain with us until Monday 24 August. About 15 Israeli students will form part of the contingent.

Year 3 bilingual update10 June 2009
It has been an exciting start in the Year 3 Bilingual classrooms. The pupils have been immersed in the Hebrew language in many subject areas, have settled into their classroom routines quickly and are happily learning in their new environment.

Bialik alumni visit after 20 years1 June 2009
On Thursday 28 May, Sharon Caplan (nee Pinhassovitch) and Michelle Slowman (nee Pinhassovitch) visited Bialik.
The sisters left Australia in 1989 and moved to London.This was their first visit back to Australia and to their old school.
MS Readathon morning in the ELC1 June 2009
On Monday 1 June, the ELC hosted a MS Readathon morning. Parents, grandparents and special friends were asked to join the children in a one hour reading session. The response was fantastic, with many groups of readers enjoying this special interaction.
