A Week of Commemoration, recognition and, ultimately, great celebration

The first day of Term 2 was dedicated to commemorating Yom Ha’Shoah, with special assemblies for the Primary, Middle and Senior Schools, as well as engaging sessions in the mifgash. As is tradition at Bialik, we were lucky enough to be joined by grandparents and special friends of the community who survived the Holocaust; who graciously gave of their time to share their stories.

As the week continued, our students remembered the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for Israel. The Yom Ha’Zikaron assembly featured solemn words and moving performances. You can see one of the beautiful songs performed by clicking the video link below:

Finally, today we celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut. It’s been a glorious, festive day as students danced, sang and participated in a variety of exciting Israeli-themed activities.
