Well done to all the students from Years 7 to 10 who represented Bialik’s for the first time in the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad event.
Students completed a four hour question paper solving challenging problems that allowed them to deepen their mathematical understanding and showcase their creativity in solution making.
Following the four hour competition, students worked in teams with students from Strathcona Girls Grammar and Camberwell Girls Grammar in a follow-up investigation session exploring mathematical games and tasks. This amazing opportunity gave students the chance to see how collaboration and communication can create understanding.
It was a empowering day that inspired students and teachers, while providing opportunities for deep and meaningful learning to occur.
