Battle of the Bands

The 2018 Year 6 Battle of the Bands (BOB), held yesterday in the Victor Smorgon Hall, saw students from 6A, 6B and 6C facing off against each other with the help of their coaches, Julian, Marc and Sarah.

The students of 6A performed Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer, 6B performed Wannabe by the Spice Girls and 6C performed Let Me Go
by Hailee Steinfeld.

BOB brings students together in three areas – singing, playing instruments in the band and dancing.

After weeks of rehearsals and collaboration, the Year 6s performed at the Middle School assembly in front of their peers, parents and students from the Primary School. The standard was very high and judges Karen Fried and Simon Gemmill had a tough task.

In the end, 6A and 6B tied for second place, with 6C winning, following up their 2014 and 2016 wins. The audience went home happy and entertained, having seen our young emerging musicians, singers and dancers in action.

Congratulations to all of Year 6 and especially to 6C for their wonderful performances.
