Opening with the Year 4 dance show (Tues 30 July), ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, Bialik, once again, celebrated the arts in our annual arts festival.
Visiting artist Chieko Hester worked with all Primary students on the Paper Plane project, soon to be revealed as an art installation in the Primary building, while the ELC engaged in Israeli dancing with visiting dance instructors from Bamba Dance.
The themed Year 6 – 11 Art Showcase, ‘Seeing Round Corners’ was officially opened and is currently on display in the Art & Tech building, Level 2.
In Middle School, the Year 6 Drama students presented performances based on indigenous themes and parents and grandparents joined in the Year 7 Ballroom Dancing presentation.
The Year 8 Film Festival produced a range of short films, for which prizes were awarded.
The Mazkirut Omanuyot organised a visiting magician as a lunchtime activity and the senior students enjoyed visiting comedy writer, Declan Fay.
The festival concluded with Bialik Rising Star at The National Theatre, St Kilda.
