Bialik Swimmers Make Us Proud

What a successful week we have had with the Primary and Secondary Swim teams!

In the Primary School, Bialik had five swimmers progress through to the Boroondara Divisional Championships with terrific improvements from all. Special congratulations to Ty J who is moving through to the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Championships next week after winning the 9/10yrs Butterfly in blistering form. Mazel tov to Segev G, Tamir G, Josh H and Peri A who also competed and swam well.

We also held Year 7 and Years 8 and 9 House Carnivals over the last week, with lots of house spirit and great swimming. Special mention goes to Hanna G for breaking a long standing Butterfly 50m record by two seconds. Great swimming Hanna!

Our secondary swimmers proudly represented Bialik at the EISM last night, with many highlights from our team. Bialik came a close 7th overall, with less than 100 points separating 4th-7th. Our Yr 11/12 boys came away with the 1st placed pennant. Well done to Jesse N, Jake P, Tahl M-W and Asher B for the 1st and 3rd in the Medley and Freestyle relays respectively.

Individual highlights:
Jesse N – 1st in 100 Fr, 50 Fr, 50 Bk, 50 Fly; Brooke R – 2nd 50 Fly, 3rd 100 Fr, 3rd 50 Bk; Nathan H – 3rd 50 Fr, 50 Bk and 50 Br; Asia C – 3rd 50 Fly; Ethan Z – 3rd 50 Br; Jake P – 1st Open boys 50 Fr B

Good luck to all the swimmers who will make it through to the EISM Champions Carnival on 25 March. We will have these results through in the next few days.
