Bialik College students, parents and teachers hit the slopes of Mt Buller last week for an action packed week of racing, presentations and camping. Beginning on Sunday 5 August, they arrived at a sunny Mt Buller and quickly settled into their lodge. On Monday 14 May, nine students from Bialik competed at the EISM Champions Athletics Carnival. The carnival was held in the afternoon at Lakeside Stadium and brought together the best athletes from all the EISM schools to compete in a variety of Track and Field events. On Sunday 18 March, the Bialik Wolfpack Fitness group participated in the Run for the Kids event. Students from the ELC, Primary and Middle School, along with parents, enthusiastically ran the 5km course, which made its way through Melbourne’s streets and through the Domain tunnel. Congratulations to Peri A and Hanna G for qualifying to swim at the Eastern Regional Metropolitan Swimming Championships. Both girls swam Personal Bests in their events, with Peri winning a bronze medal in the 50 Freestyle, and Hanna coming 5th and 8th respectively in her Freestyle and Fly races. A wonderful effort from both girls against very stiff oppoisition.

Year 1 student Jasper R is an Australian National Ski Cross Champion. On Thursday 16 November, Jasper and his class came to the Gringlas Sports Centre for a short ceremony to unveil his photos on the College’s Wall of Excellence.
