On Tuesday 11 December the Years 8 and 9 students took part in “Diffability Day”, during which guest facilitators spent time teaching them about disabilities in sport. Except for one of the activities, the facilitators were themselves disabled. This gave the students the incredible opportunity to completely empathise with people with disabilities, as they experienced what it is like to be wheelchair bound or blind. Wheelchair Basketball, Bubble Soccer and Goal Ball were all on the roster for the day, as was raising funds for Disability Sport & Recreation and the Victorian Institute for the Blind.
