As part of the Bialik Arts Festival, the Primary children were most privileged to have worked with visiting artist, Chieko Hester, to explore theme of ‘mystery’ through origami. During Chieko’s visit to Bialik, the children not only acquired skills in this ancient Japanese art of paper-folding, but developed a deeper appreciation of how engaging with this art form can help them with concentration, hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills. Chieko commented that many students expressed to her that they loved doing origami and that they were continuing to do it at home. Please visit the Primary School to view the installation, currently hanging in the corridor outside the Primary office.
