Saying No to Domestic Violence on White Ribbon Day

Bialik Year 9 students Mitch W, Ari B & Tal D had the privilege of attending the Boroondara White Ribbon Day today at the Hawthorn Arts Centre. The event was attended by over 300 people and addressed the issue of raising awareness of the negative impact of violence against women. Pictured here with senior police officers from Boroondara Police and keynote speaker Tarang Chawla, our students were the first to ask a question at the presentation.

White Ribbon Australia is a part of a global movement of men and boys working to end men’s violence against women. Their aim is to create an Australian society where all women can live in safety, free from violence and abuse.

Bialik is a leading school in the Government’s Respectful Relationships initiative.
