The Rosenkranz Centre for Excellence and Achievement
As part pf their currrent investigations into mass, focussing on balance, the Year 2 cohort visited The Alexander Calder exhibition at The National Gallery of Victoria on Thursday 25 July.
The students had an exciting morning travelling to and from the city via train, exploring the exhibition and making links to their classroom investigations within Term 2.
There was even time to lie down in The Great Hall and star gaze, examining the beautiful stain glass kaleidoscope of polygons, making further connections to their learning.
Our students engaged in every aspect of the excursion; from building new connections and asking questions to slowly and thoughtfully examining the pieces of art. It was an exciting and remarkable exploration into the shared worlds of Art, Maths and Science.
