Bialik Golf Day

The Bialik Golf Day has been a staple of the Parents' Association for a number of years at Cranbourne - the home of Jewish Golf. Since 2017 the day has been organised by Joel Dodge and Elliot Swart with Darren Kronglod from 2017-2021 and Simon Rosenberg 2022-2023. The event is run as a corporate golf day with a number of incredible sponsors supporting the day. CVS Lane have been the major sponsor since 2017 with some fantastic support from various businesses sponsoring the 18 holes and BBQ lunch. Over this period the Golf Day has raised in excess of $150,000 for the Parents Association. Funds raised have helped build playgrounds, install goal posts and allowed teachers to purchase additional educational resources.

Highlights have included Princpal Jeremy hitting his third ever golf shot as a welcome. The video of this shot has never seen the light of day. We have had pelting rain, sunshine, a typhoon, wind, sunburns and a lot of laughs. The winning team goes on the Honour Board in the Gringlass Sports Centre and gets pictured with the magnificent Golf Day Cup. Each year a team of Bialik Teachers play, watch out for teacher absentees on the 24 February to ascertain who got the plumb gig.

This year we have CVS Lane continue their major sponsorship along with DS Capital, River Capital, Jadig Finance, Daniel Faigen, Slomoi Immerman Partners, Morgan Stanley, Alexander Funds Management, Fife Capital, Crestone Wealth Management, Gary Peer, Spotlight, HR Legal, Quintessential Equity, Assembly Now, Krongold Group, Rampersand, Escala, Square Peg Capital and Two Scotts Recruiting. We also have Galleghers providing an incredible $20,000 Hole in One prize.

At the event there are some incredible prizes donated by Linnaea Wines, the new House of Golf (50 meters from Bialik), Samsonite and La Lucciola Restaurant.

All players receive some Kez’s Cookies on arrival to ensure blood sugar levels remain high and most importantly a coffee from the Gary Peer coffee van.
