Scholarships & Bursaries
Bialik College offers scholarships, bursaries and awards to support families in accessing quality Jewish education. Scholarships recognise academic talent and commitment to community values, while bursaries provide financial assistance for families in need. Both options aim to make education accessible to all students, supporting them in their educational and personal growth.
Bialik College also offers Fee Assistance to eligible families to ensure that all Jewish children have access to a Jewish education.
Please note: Individuals can hold only one scholarship/bursary/award at any time.
This multi-year bursary is available for Primary students starting at Bialik College in 2026.
- Open to both current Bialik students and new students from other schools.
- This bursary offers up to 50% off tuition fees for up to three years (Prep to Year 5 inclusive).

The Josh Frydenberg Scholarship recognises and fosters emerging young leaders by providing financial support to families who may benefit from a helping-hand to access a world-class Jewish education at Bialik College.
Students will graduate with the honour and recognition of being named Frydenberg Scholars and gain access to ongoing engagement and mentoring opportunities with Josh Frydenberg and an alma mater of Frydenberg Scholars.
Thanks to the support of a generous donor, families will receive the benefit of a discount of approximately 25% of school fees.
Selection Criteria
For entry into Year 9 in 2026. Students will be selected based on their ability to demonstrate all-round excellence, leadership and participation, and whose families may benefit from financial assistance.

Scholarships & Awards
Bialik College offers a range of scholarships and Awards for academic, performing arts, music and sports excellence. These are generously funded by Bialik College and our donors who make this possible.

All Academic Scholarships are valued at $10,000 per year.
Selection Criteria
Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a written examination. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview with the Principal. Copies of school reports will be requested. Please note that this interview does not guarantee that a scholarship will be offered.
As well as demonstrating academic excellence, applicants should demonstrate an interest in participating in the wide range of opportunities available at the College and respect the Mission, Vision and Values that govern the College.
Process
- Fill out the application form via the link above.
- Attend a written examination at Bialik College, conducted by Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). The exam covers mathematics, written expression and reading comprehension. While Hebrew and Jewish studies are compulsory at Bialik College, these subjects are not tested in the exam.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview with the Principal.
Please note: An interview does not necessarily mean that a scholarship will be offered.
Examination date: Friday 14 February 2025
Notification of results: Individual examination results will be provided to all parents at the conclusion of the entire academic scholarship process.

Process
- Fill out the application form and provide videos and certificates.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview with the Principal and Head of Sport, however such an interview does not necessarily mean that a scholarship will be offered.
Selection Criteria:
- Participation in the Highest State League Division in the student’s chosen sport, subject to investigation by our Sport Department. Evidence such as video footage should be submitted with the application.
- Demonstrated positive role modelling to fellow students and peers in all sporting programs.
- Evidence of current (within the past two years) in-school and out-of-school sporting achievements. Please list all achievements and provide documentary evidence, e.g. photocopy of certificates, medals, etc.
- Up to five minutes of recent video evidence of the student playing in a competitive game, in the sport of their choice. This must be continuous play and not a series of highlights.

- Provide a video up to 5 minutes of them performing.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview with the Principal and Head of Performing Arts, however such an interview does not necessarily mean that an award will be offered.
Expectations of award recipients
- Display a strong commitment to the Bialik College Performing Arts program.
- Take Drama and/or Music as a subject for the duration of the Award.
- Participate as a performer in productions, ensembles, concerts and extra-curricular activities as designated by Head of Department, some of which may involve attendance at rehearsals and performances outside school hours.
- Attend all classes and rehearsals punctually and well prepared.
- Role-model exemplary behaviour in performing arts rehearsals and events.
- Respect and embody the Mission, Vision, and Values of Bialik College.

Bialik College offers Music Tuition Awards to students in Years 6-12 in 2025 who demonstrate potential for excellence. The purpose of this Award is to encourage and support students with musical ability to continue developing their passion for their instrument and performance.
