Meet Our 2026 Zio Madrichim: Four Young Israelis Bringing Israel to Life at Bialik College
What does it mean for students to build a real connection with Israel? At Bialik College, it starts with people.
This Term 3, we are delighted to welcome our 2026 Zio Madrichim to Bialik College. These four inspiring young Israelis will become an important part of daily life across the College, enriching our Israel and Jewish Life programs through authentic conversations, shared experiences and meaningful relationships.
More than visitors, they are educators, mentors and role models who help our students experience Israel beyond headlines and textbooks.
What is the Zio Madrichim program?
The Zio Madrichim program brings young Israeli leaders into Jewish schools, where they work alongside staff to strengthen students' connection with Israel, Jewish identity and global Jewish peoplehood.
Throughout Term 3, our madrichim will participate in classroom learning, informal education, celebrations, leadership initiatives and community events. Their presence creates opportunities for students of all ages to ask questions, hear personal stories and engage with contemporary Israeli life in an open and authentic way.
At Bialik College, these connections are a vital part of our commitment to providing an outstanding Jewish education that combines academic excellence with meaningful engagement in Jewish life.
Meet Our 2026 Zio Madrichim
Nadav El Al
Originally from Be'er Sheva, Nadav previously served as a Shinshin in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is passionate about sharing everyday Israeli life, culture and community with Jewish communities around the world. His warmth and enthusiasm help students discover the many different stories that make up modern Israel.
Gali Lazar
From Kiryat Ono, Gali spent a year on shlichut in Baltimore, building lasting relationships through Jewish education and community engagement. She believes that meaningful personal connections are the foundation of strong ties between Israel and Jewish communities across the globe.
Noy Dadosh
Originally from Hod HaSharon and now based in Jerusalem, Noy brings valuable experience as both a shlicha and educator. She is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between Israel and the global Jewish community through education, dialogue and shared experiences.
Elad Harosh
Returning for his second year at Bialik College, Elad is already a familiar and much-loved member of our community. After spending time travelling through New Zealand and participating in last year's Harpatkah, he returns with the same warmth, energy and enthusiasm that made such a positive impact on our students and staff.
Why does this matter for our students?
One of the most powerful ways young people learn is through relationships.
Meeting young adults from Israel allows students to see Israeli society through personal stories rather than stereotypes. They hear about everyday life, military service, university, culture, traditions, hobbies and aspirations directly from people living those experiences.
These conversations foster curiosity, empathy and confidence while helping students develop a deeper understanding of Israel's diversity and its place within the broader Jewish world.
For many students, these relationships become some of the most memorable parts of their Jewish education.
A Living Connection to Jewish Life
The arrival of the Zio Madrichim reflects Bialik College's belief that Jewish education is most meaningful when it is lived, experienced and shared.
Throughout the term, students will encounter Nadav, Gali, Noy and Elad across classrooms, camps, celebrations and informal learning experiences, creating countless moments for conversation, learning and connection.
Their stories, perspectives and friendships will enrich our community and strengthen the sense of belonging that sits at the heart of life at Bialik College.
