Standing Up for Our Community

Principal Jeremy Stowe-Lindner Monday, 11 May 2026

Bialik College Principal Jeremy Stowe-Lindner recently contributed to Australia’s Royal Commission into Antisemitism, advocating for meaningful action to support Jewish students, families and schools.

Ahead of the Commission, Jeremy was featured in the Herald Sun discussing the growing challenges facing the Jewish community and outlining key priorities for change. His contribution to the Commission focused on three core areas:

  • Reducing the financial burden of security on families and schools
  • Addressing language and behaviour experienced as threatening or antisemitic
  • Embedding a clear and consistent definition of antisemitism across education, government and public institutions

These recommendations reflect the lived experiences of many in our community - from increased security measures to changes in daily behaviour and experiences of abuse that no family should have to navigate.

At a time when speaking publicly is not always easy, Jeremy’s willingness to represent and advocate for the community demonstrates courageous and values-driven leadership. It reflects Bialik College’s ongoing commitment to ensuring Jewish students can learn, grow and thrive with confidence, pride and belonging.
