Victorian da Vinci Decathlon – Year 7 Team
What happens when eight curious Year 7 students are given ten disciplines and one very big challenge?
Recently, a team of Year 7 students proudly represented Bialik at the Victorian da Vinci Decathlon, an academic competition designed to challenge students across a wide range of disciplines including engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art, science and creative problem-solving.
After spending Terms 1 and 2 preparing through workshops and study sessions, the team took on a fast-paced day of competition alongside more than 140 teams from across Victoria. While some brains may still be recovering, our students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
The competition required students to think critically, collaborate effectively and demonstrate resilience under pressure. Across each discipline, our Year 7 team showed impressive teamwork, perseverance and a willingness to tackle complex problems together.
We are incredibly proud of the way they supported one another throughout the day and represented Bialik with curiosity, integrity and spirit.
