Year 11 Leadership Forum

Big questions. Big ideas.

Eighty‑seven students from 13 schools gathered at Engineers Australia’s new headquarters for the Year 11 Leadership Forum, organised by The Spirit of Australia.

The focus of the day was simple but powerful: What is leadership, and how can young people lead in their schools and communities?

Students applied at the end of Year 10, with eight Bialik students selected to attend as Year 11 representatives this year. The event was hosted by Michael Bennett, great‑grandson of Sir John Monash, and featured five inspiring speakers who shared their leadership experiences before joining a panel discussion with students.

The forum reminded participants that leadership rarely starts with a title. It starts with a question: What can I do next?
