Year 11 Students Gain Valuable Insights from Bialik Alumni
What do students really want to know about life after school? Often, it is the questions that no brochure can answer.
As part of the Year 11 Careers Education Program, students recently had the opportunity to hear from eight Bialik alumni who returned to share their experiences of university, career pathways, gap years and the sometimes uncertain journey of discovering what comes next.
The alumni spoke candidly about the decisions they faced after graduation, including choosing courses and universities, taking time out to travel and even changing direction entirely. Their stories highlighted that there is no single path to success and that making thoughtful choices along the way is often more important than having every step planned from the beginning.
For our Year 11 students, the session offered valuable insights from people who were sitting in the same classrooms just a few years ago. Hearing firsthand accounts of the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned beyond school provided a meaningful perspective on the transition to life after Bialik.
The event was also a reminder of the strength of the Bialik community and the generosity of our alumni, who continue to support and inspire the next generation of graduates.
We thank our alumni for giving their time, sharing their experiences and helping our students navigate the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
