Parents’ Association

Every Bialik parent is automatically a member of the Parents’ Association. Our aim is to enrich the journey of all of our students and their families, through events and highlighting many wonderful opportunities for our community.

The BCPA is a fabulous way for parents to connect with other families and fully participate in life at Bialik, while further enriching their children’s school experience.

The Bialik College Parents’ Association has established a strong committee for 2020. We are incredibly lucky to introduce this team of dedicated members of the parent body who have been working behind the scenes, to improve the sense of community at our school.

While focused primarily on the children, our aim is also for our parents to have fun too! There are many ways that parents and grandparents may volunteer; support and enjoy all that Bialik has to offer.

A number of new initiatives have been successfully launched this year with more to follow, including several new standout events in the lead up to and during Purim, including the Purim Pop-up store selling pre-loved costumes. Thank you to the wonderful families who gave and supported us so generously. During Purim we had a 60 strong parent volunteer group, who made the day so inspiring for our students.

We have introduced the retro Bialik House T-shirts, which have been so very well received and extremely popular. Make sure to go online and order yours today!

Earlier this year, the Parents’ Association assisted our community by providing a number of reliable avenues for people to offer their support to those in need during the Bush fire crisis, with collections of children’s items to be sent to support a number of schools that have been affected in Gippsland. We have also raised more than $10,000 to support Wildlife Victoria and the CFA.

One of the key elements of the Parents’ Association is to fundraise for Bialik projects that enhance the lives of our children. We are looking towards an exciting project for the end of the year. We are in conversation with the departments at Bialik to assist where we can with school events.

With more than 200 recipes from our wonderful community, including parents, grandparents, the College Kitchen Garden program, the Shuk and the ELC, the cookbook makes an ideal gift. Cookbooks can be purchased via Trybooking and are also available for collection from Main or ELC Reception.

Proceeds raised will go towards a variety of BCPA initiatives.
