Alumni Community Engagement Officer
We are seeking an Alumni Community Engagement Officer who reports to the Foundation Manager and plays a vital role in strengthening the lifelong connection between Bialik College and its alumni community. The role focuses on building meaningful relationships with graduates, fostering community engagement, and strategically connecting alumni back to the College.
Through strong communication, data management and strategic engagement initiatives, the role supports the growth of a vibrant alumni network that contributes to the life of the College and reinforces the value of a Bialik Jewish education.
This position requires a highly organised and relationship-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills who can work effectively across multiple departments within the school. The role also requires strong digital communication capabilities and confidence working with CRM platforms to ensure accurate data management and effective engagement.
This is a part-time position working 2-3 days per week (approximately 15.2 hours) during school term time only. Commencement date is ASAP, ongoing role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement
- Build on the existing alumni strategy and evaluate its impact and continue to build capacity
- Act as the primary point of contact for alumni and maintain strong relationships across graduating cohorts
- Be proactive in identifying and building relationships with key alumni from each graduating year
- Facilitate and support the development of the alumni YBAC committee to assist with the implementation of the alumni strategy and their goals
- Manage and deliver the Bialik Alumni Reunion program
- Manage alumni social media accounts and alumni communications
- Build a visible and active alumni presence within both the school and broader community
- Engage alumni in philanthropy and friend-raising initiatives in collaboration with the Foundation
- Assist with campaigns and events
Skills and Experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively across a diverse community
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of digital and computer literacy
- Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Synergetic, and communication platforms such as Mailchimp and Canva
- Strong attention to detail and data management skills
- Experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Event coordination experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment and across multiple teams
- Understanding of community engagement and relationship management
