About the Role


The Community Engagement (Alumni) Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating an alumni engagement program in support of the College’s Strategic Plan and Advancement Strategy to bring back Bialik families to the school.

This is a part-time position working two (2) days per week (approximately 15.2 hours) during school term time only. Commencement date is ASAP, ongoing role.


Responsibilities


Alumni Engagement


· Develop and implement a yearly strategic plan and evaluate its impact

· Act as primary contact for all alumni

· Be proactive in developing and maintaining relationships with key alumni from each graduating year

· Facilitate and formalise an alumni committee to assist with the development and rollout of the strategic plan

· Manage and facilitate alumni reunion program

· Maintain and update Bialik CRM of alumni and be proactive in sourcing missing information

· Manage alumni social media accounts

· Manage alumni communications

· Build the profile of alumni in the broader community and school community

· Develop and maintain a mentoring program of mutual benefit to current and former students

· Support the College Careers Counsellor by sourcing alumni to present at Careers Nights or other school activities

· Where appropriate engage alumni in friend/fundraising activities

· Develop a rapport and engage with relevant teaching staff

· Measure the metrics of alumni across to current parents

· Assist with campaigns and events

Role Requirements

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Well-developed skills in MS Office

· Experience in relationship-management databases preferred

· Basic budget management skills

· Event management experience preferred

· Demonstrated understanding of and experience in managing social media and social networking platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn

· Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a school environment and internal team

· Excellent time management, administration and organisational skills

· Collaborate effectively with individuals and teams
