Music Teacher
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Music, the successful candidate will deliver music curriculum of a high standard based on an understanding of varied teaching and learning approaches.
This role is a full-time role, commencing in Term 1, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver music related lessons for students across the Middle/Senior School.
- Cater for individual learning needs within the classroom.
- Work within a team in the Music department to develop and evaluate curriculum.
- Contribute to the thriving co-curricular performing arts program.
- Providing music support to individuals and small groups of students.
- Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy.
- Monitor, evaluate and report of student progress.
- Create a culture of learning within the classroom.
- Opportunity to take on a STEM Project Leadership responsibility.
Role Requirements
- Solid experience in music teaching across Middle/Senior year levels, including VCE Music Contemporary Performance.
- VIT registration is essential.
- An understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and different teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
