School Canteen Assistant/Cook (Part-time)

We are seeking a School Canteen Assistant/Cook who is responsible for preparing, cooking & serving healthy & nutritionally balanced meals for students & staff as well as the overall upkeep of equipment, kitchen & storage areas. The role is ongoing and will work three (3) weekdays, working during school term time only. ASAP start date.

Primary Responsibilities

- Prepare & serve food for sale through the school canteen.
- Prepare catering where required throughout the school.
- Ensure a well-balanced & quick breakfast is prepared & supplied to all squad students in the morning.
- Ensure food wastage is kept to a minimum.
- Arrange & direct the appropriate storage of food & supplies.
- Carry out daily kitchen & canteen clean up.
- Comply with food safety & hygiene regulations.
- Follow & adhere to Kosher food practises.

Personal Skills & Experience

- Possess relevant qualifications in hospitality including food handling.
- Experience in hospitality.
- Good communication skills.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check.
