Enrolments

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Bialik College. Intake years are Kinder 3, Prep and Years 2, 6, 7 and 10. If you require entry into other year levels, please contact our Registrar, Michelle Bergman on [email protected] or 9822 7981.

If you wish to apply for a place at Bialik College, the following must be submitted:

1. Enrolment Application form – signed by both parents. Please contact the Registrar for a form to be sent to you.
2. Non-refundable application fee of $150.
3. Copy of student’s most recent school report where applicable.
4. Copy of student’s birth certificate.
5. Copy of student’s immunisation status.

The Registrar will place your child’s name on the enrolment register (waiting list). Applications are listed in order of receipt of their applications. Preference is generally given on the waiting list to siblings and the children of Old Collegians depending on the number of places available. Additional consideration is given to the children of staff. When an application is deferred, the relevant date for the waiting list is the original date of registration.

Entry into 3-yr old Kinder:

Over the summer, in the year before you wish your child to enter the school, the Registrar will offer places. The waiting list is generally prioritised in the following manner:
1. Siblings.
2. Old Collegians who have registered their children within the first year of the child’s birth.
3. Receipt of application.

Once a place has been offered, parents are requested to pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of $1,500. This comprises a $500 Acceptance fee and a $1,000 pre-payment which is credited against the Term One fees.

Parents are requested to respond promptly to the offers of place to ensure that people on the waiting list can be offered a place should the offer be refused.

Entry into 4-yr old Kinder – Year 12:

When a vacancy arises, parents are contacted during Term 2 of the year prior to entry and invited to attend an interview with the Head of School. The criteria for admission will include whether the family and child will align to the values and ethos of the College. A firm offer of place is made on the basis of this interview. Enrolment is confirmed by the payment of the Acceptance Fee of $500.

An offer of place cannot normally be deferred.

Questions regarding enrolments may be directed to the Registrar, Michelle Bergman on [email protected] or 9822 7981.
