The Rosenkranz Centre for Excellence and Achievement was endowed in 1997, through the generosity of Judy and Leon Goldman in honour of Betty and Shmuel Rosenkranz who devoted themselves with intellect, integrity and commitment, to the development of so many communal organisations for over 60 years.
The Rosenkranz Centre for Excellence and Achievement is the focal point of enrichment and extension programs, supplementing the curriculum throughout all levels of the school and catering for different groupings — whole class, small groups and individuals.
Opportunities include full year–level enrichment programs, small group enrichment workshops and weekly mentoring sessions that allow individual students to meet with mentors to explore areas and topics specific to their strengths and interests. Some examples of these opportunities are Chess workshops, English Enrichment, Model UN Security Councils, TV Production, Photography Workshops and Secondary Math Games Days.
The PARDES Program, which begins in Year 8, is a two-year extension program targeted at students who have a thirst for knowledge and who have the potential and capacity to learn at a fast pace and at a high level of abstraction and complexity, Within this program, students meet regularly with like-minded peers to explore topics and subjects that lie beyond the school curriculum, facilitated by educators passionate in their disciplines.
Topics that have been explored include Literature/Poetry, Art, Mathematics and Politics, both locally and internationally.
